Professional Studies in Tourism Management - AwardsUpon successful completion of the state examination at the end of the continuing education course in Tourism, you will be awarded the State-Certified Diploma as Betriebswirt Tourismus. The examination is approved under the examination regulations passed by the Ministry of Culture. You
have the opportunity to complete an optional third year of study and acquire a
Bachelor's Degree. The study programme developed by us has been
successfully validated by the Open University Validation Services. The
largest validating university of Great Britain enjoys an excellent reputation
of both national and international standing. This
validation
documents the fact that our study programme meets the exacting standards of the
British higher education sector as well as strengthening its claim to
internationality. The advantage in this for you: the earning of an
internationally recognised degree. We are certain that this degree will

knowledge and skills of strong practical relevance, thus preparing students for
subsequent work in management.
HIB also plans to introduce a post-graduate
programme in tourism management following on from the Bachelor's degree and
leading to the award of a Master's degree as of the winter semester 2011.
The Master's programme is currently undergoing validation. This means that if
you take up your studies in the winter semester of 2008, you can go on to
take a consecutive Master's programme in Tourism Management straight after
receiving your Bachelor's award, since as plans currently stand, the validation of the Master's programme will have been completed in good time.
