Soft Skills

Soft Skills  Soft Skills
On an international HIB programme, you undergo comprehensive training in the field of soft skills. This covers the following topics:
 Job application training; telephone training; soft skills training integrated in the management studies at the HIB
 effective communication; facilitation;
 presentation and visualisation;
 modern business etiquette.

'Soft skills' are key people skills, in other words the knowledge required to deal with people and decisions. When it comes to communication, WHAT is said is not as important as HOW it is said.

But not everyone has the ability to read between the (spoken) lines. The quality of soft skills is less a question of IQ and instead has more to do with a person's emotional or social intelligence. These days, the merits of staff – especially in managerial posts – are judged in terms of traits such as the ability to work in a team and deal with conflict, along with communication skills. Soft skills are thus something that you can deploy in working life across all countries and sectors.

If you wish, you can document these modules with the 'Fit for Success' certificate awarded by the Rhein-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
