Europäischer Compter FührerscheinDo you wish to document the IT skills acquired on your course with certification that enjoys Europe-wide recognition? With the European Computer Driving Licence - ECDL – you can prove to companies throughout Europe that you possess practical ICT skills and are able to use an operating system along with the software applications relevant to your profession. Major multinationals such as ABB, Volvo, Tetra Pak, Siemens, Unilever have introduced the ECDL as a standard basic qualification for their staff. It is an internationally recognised certificate awarded by the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) – the umbrella organisation of Europe's informatics societies. HIB is an authorised examination centre for the ECDL.
The ECDL is awarded upon passing tests in seven separate modules. In the course of your studies you will be prepared for all requirements of the ECDL and sit four tests of particular relevance to the profession you wish to enter. At HIB, you may of course sit all parts of the certificate if you wish.
On passing the tests in all seven modules, you are awarded the European Computer Driving Licence which is recognised in the whole of Europe. The ECDL is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, which sees it as a suitable tool for quality control in the teaching and certification of sound IT skills.
