Unsere DozentenThe tutors form the basis for the quality and practical relevance of the HIB study programme. Our tutorial team unites disciplinary knowledge, pedagogic experience, and professional and inter-cultural expertise. All tutors hold a university degree acquired in Germany and/or abroad, in many cases combined with a doctorate, and this serves to document your own qualification. In order to guarantee the study programme's strong emphasis on applied learning, tutors also have vocational experience relevant to their subjects or come to us straight from professional employment in fields such as marketing, tourism or event management. Thanks to this hands-on know-how, our students are given valuable impetus when it comes to putting what they have learned into practice. In foreign language modules such as conversation or business communication, native-language teaching staff guarantee authentic language training.
Students
learn not only the foreign languages; in Area Studies they are also made aware
of cultural peculiarities in the different language areas. This wide-ranging
pool of qualifications allows us to match up our tutors perfectly with the
special requirements of the various courses. The manageable size of our study
groups means close contact between tutors and students. In short, ever since
being founded, Heidelberg International Business Academy has remained true to
its principle of offering an alternative to overcrowded mass universities and
providing a personal set-ting for your international studies.
On
completing my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, I knew that wanted to work
in an international envi-ronment and that this would demand a good grasp
of foreign languages. The 2-year foundation course at HIB with a main
focus on languages and rounded off by tuition in general business studies,
computing and office management was the ideal way to educate myself further and
stood me in good stead to re-enter the workplace as soon as possible.
With my top-up course at HIB I stood a good chance in the job market. Today I
work as an assistant at Goldman Sachs, an American investment bank
in Frankfurt, and am able to put what I learned into practice. My 'working day'
takes place largely in English, as we have many international members of
staff, are in close contact with our offices in London and New York, while our
correspondence is also conducted mainly in Eng-lish. Training to be an
International Office Manager at HIB was well worth my while and I would always
make the same decision again.
